Inside Richmond center chinese restaurant that specialized in dim sum and other chinese specialty dishes,Big space and at at first glance the place looks like a high end restaurant but it is not.....
Waiter service and i say that it was horrible, most of them are language barrier specially those ones that bring out the dishes to the table, long wait and if you ask about something dish related you get unsatisfactory response.
Nothing special in this place if not because we were so hungry we will not try this place at all.
We ordered few dim sum and other dishes as well, most of them very ordinary, but the fried rice is excellent and the stuffed eggplant plus the dessert i am not sure what its called but its like a custard buns or a milk bread it was so good we even buy some more for to go.All the rest of the food we ordered is either very ordinary or not good at all.we requested like 2 times before soy sauce and chili sauce was provided...napkins are like gold you have to beg for it.....
Contemporary decors, all round tables that i dislike,i preferred square one,for some reason i still can not explain Wifi is free, huge parking lot courtesy, wash room is clean but already old some renovation is good,.noise level loud as usual our chinese folks talks really loud that seems they are always fighting.Accept cash, credit and debit.
Sorry but no more next time for me.for that amout we paid we can eat better chinese foods and dim sum to another place.. -

My parents saw in the newspaper that they have a promotion deal happening in December. She called and asked about it and also made a reservation. We were told that dining time available spots are 5:30 or 7:30pm. Dinner at 7:30 pm is too late for us. So we decided to do 5:30 pm instead.
First off.. Parking is horrible here during the Christmas week. They do have free parking so that is good but just need some luck in finding a parking spot. When dining we noticed that the restaurant isn't busy.
When we were about to order, we were told that they are not honoring the promotion deal for this week because its Christmas week. They could have told us that when we made the reservation which was the day before coming here. Kind of dishonest. We felt tricked to go to this restaurant.
Food portion was small. As well it took a long time for the food to come.
Taste was so so. Not great for value. I would say if you are coming to Richmond Center for dinner, you might as well go to Kirin. You can never go wrong with Kirin.
This restaurant tries to be a high end restaurant but the quality and service is not there.
I don't think I will be back. -

I used to really like this place 8 years ago, and had been coming back every couple of years. I would say each time the quality of food has gone down, and today, I decided we don't need to come back anymore. Besides its convenient location, there is nothing more to say about this restaurant.
Their dim sum looked and tasted like they were sloppily made, people who made them did not care. They switched out proper ingredients and replaced them with cheaper ones. The bamboo tofu skin roll did not have any bamboo in it. They used cheap celery instead, and created a very weird flavor. The daikon rice cake had a hard cell around, which means it was not very fresh.
This experience really makes me feel sad, the Dim sum in BC used to be amazing and far more superior than Seattle Dim Sum. Not every restaurant I guess nowadays! -

When you look at the outside of the restaurant you would think this is a fancy place, but nope, it's tiny and common inside. The service was terrible, servers all seemed like you owed them a billion. They rushed you to order. Food was alright. Average. Spring rolls tasted good.

Used to come every now and then but this would be my last time. The short version is: low quality food, high price, small portion, terrible service, unsanitary eating environment.
Food quality has dropped tremendously while they still charge you for the quality thats not there and very small portion for that price plus quality.
We were celebrating a birthday so we brought a bottle of wine. They charged a $15 corkage fee (a good majority of the Chinese restaurants in Richmond don't), which was fine if they also provide decent service. But all they did was open the bottle for us and didn't give us a bottle cooler until we asked them to, and then they brought a plastic water pitcher with ice to stick the bottle in. We had to pour our own wine all night plus dealing with the dripping bottle. Can certainly do a much less messier job at home without the extra fee!
The worst part was at 8:15pm when there were only 2 tables left, they turned off the crystal light (we thought it was either a light fixture malfunction or they were signaling for us to leave). One of the servers changed into some T-shirt and put on a mask, brought out a big ladder and some spray bottle wrapped in plastic bag, and started to clean the suspended crystal light fixture which occupied a large part of the center of the restaurant, WHILE we were still eating. To top that, they started moving all the tables aside, stacked up all the chairs, because they said the carpet needed to be washed, WHILE we were still eating.
Our dinner reservation was at 7pm and we left before 9pm. For a party of 9, we were definitely not overstaying our welcome. If they needed to do all this after 8pm, should have at least let us know when we made the reservation so we can decide to either come earlier or not at all. This restaurant has become one of those that has zero standard of providing decent food, a sanitary and welcoming environment, while still charging the price like they do.
